iOS4.0

I’m blown away. Just upgraded to iOS 4.0 (AKA iPhone OS 4.0). It’s faster than the 3.something.forgetaboutit I previously had. The background-apps feature is cool.
Of course, some apps refuse to work (lame 20min app).
But the most important stuff seems to work. It’s absolutely great.

Sometimes it hurts to reboot a server

(server <~>) 0 # uptime
10:31PM up 1458 days, 6:06, 3 users, load averages: 2.02, 1.79, 1.72
(server <~>) 0 # uname -a
FreeBSD server.company.com 6.0-RELEASE-p3 FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE-p3 #0: Fri Jan 20 13:18:42 CET 2006 root@server.company.com:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/SMP i386
(server <~>) 0 # date
Thu Jan 21 22:32:08 CET 2010
(server <~>) 0 # reboot

Of course, you can only reach such an uptime by not patching the system for four years.
